It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Michael Gallagher of Midwest Radio. Michael, a resident of Conderry, Balla, County Mayo, passed away peacefully on December 10th at the Mayo Hospice in Castlebar, following a brief illness. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, marking the end of a life lived within and dedicated to his community.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Rita Gallagher. He is survived by his beloved brother, Tommy Joe, and his sister, Pauline. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his sister-in-law Eileen, brother-in-law TJ, his nieces Karl-Ann, Deirdre, Paula, Catherine, Fiona and Louise, and his nephew David, as well as his extended relatives, countless friends, and neighbors.

The community is invited to pay their respects at Balla Funeral Home on Friday evening, starting at 5:30 PM. The removal will take place at 7:00 PM to the Holy Family Church in Kiltimagh. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 12:00 PM, followed by burial in Kilkinure Cemetery.

Michael’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Castlebar Hospice for the exceptional and compassionate care Michael received during his time there. Their dedication and support were a source of comfort and strength during a challenging period.
