Pettis, a rookie sensation, made history as the first Mercury player to score in their debut game. She led the team in scoring that night, accumulating 17 points in Phoenix's victory. In her first season, Pettis averaged impressive stats: 12.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. Her career-high 27 points against the Charlotte Sting showcased her potential.
